These are the primo editions that are worth a fortune to the right gamer. So sit back, relax, and wish that you had ponied up the dough to grab one of these yourself. Oh, and if you did, let us know when you’re going to put it on eBay so we can try and get it for ourselves!

DMC (Devil May Cry)

DMC (Devil May Cry)

The long awaited DMC brought a very cool limited edition that fans loved. It didn’t come with any statues, but it did come with a necklace and some upgrade points right out of the gate, as well as a cool transformation pack for Dante’s weapons.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance

For Metal Gear fans, the technology showcased in the games is almost as important as everything else. So when Revengeance offered a limited edition that showcased that very tech, it was a solid win. MGR gamers were treated to Raiden’s sword in the center of a plasma lamp, as well a bunch of other great stuff in-game.

Injustice: Gods Among Us

Injustice: Gods Among Us

Super hero fans are almost always collectors of memorabilia as well. I’m not sure why that is, but after hundreds of conventions all over the US, I would say that it is resoundingly true. So, when Warner Brothers drops a limited edition resin statue in one of its limited Editions of a game, it’s always gold for gamers and comic fans alike.

Resident Evil 6

Resident Evil 6

Even though it was met with mixed reviews, by critics and hardcore fans alike, RE6 offered a great limited edition. Resident Evil fans were treated to in-game content, as well as great swag like the emblems of the RE6 forces, an art book and even a hoodie.

Grand Theft Auto V

Grand Theft Auto V

Grand Theft Auto and Rockstar have always known how to dole out the swag during a release, and they definitely know what needs to be in a good limited edition. So it was no surprise when GTAV came with a ton of in-game content, as well as a Los Santos Flat-bill cap and a logo bank deposit bag – complete with key.

Batman: Arkham Origins

Batman: Arkham Origins

Warner Brothers dropped yet another super-cool super-hero limited edition on us with Batman Arkham Origins. This limited edition came with a kickass statue of Batman holding the Joker skyward by his collars (kind of like Simba in the Lion King) as well as an art book and in-game content were equally as epic.

Bioshock Infinite

Bioshock Infinite

This is the first time that I can honestly say I was excited about a Bioshock limited edition. I love the games in the series but have never really gotten hopped up over their lim-eds — but this one was awesome! With a big-ass statue, an artbook, and even a replica hand grenade from the game. For me, it was nothing but love, man.

Aliens: Colonial Marines

Aliens: Colonial Marines

For fans of Ridley Scott’s masterpiece of science fiction, nothing could be better than finally honoring it with the video game it so richly deserves. It’s too bad that hasn’t happened yet, but the limited edition of Colonial Marines was an Aliens fan dream come true.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag

How do you make the greatest pirate video game ever made even better? Make it a part of the Assassin’s Creed series. How do you increase the cool factor exponentially from there? Release a killer limited edition that fans will drop their hard-earned money on. Ubisoft did just that. Take a look at the vast amount of plunder from this edition.

The Last Of Us

The Last Of Us

Since this game is obviously the best game of the year, it was little tough for the folks at Naughty Dog to make the limited edition really pop. So what did they do? They made more than one limited edition! They released the “Ellie” lim-ed and the “Joel” lim-ed. Each one has its own unique goodies for you.
