Top 10 Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Achievements & Trophies

Top 10 Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Achievements & Trophies

The launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is right around the corner and Activision has finally released its full list of PlayStation Trophies and Xbox Achievements. The list is rather long but provides gamers with some insight into what they should expect from the highly acclaimed first-person shooter. Therefore, channel your inner stat geek, embrace the hidden nerd that lies deep within your loins, and enjoy our Top 10 list of Achievements and Trophies for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 .

Battle Tested

Battle Tested

The Battle Tested achievement and trophy is obtained after players reach the Commander Rank in Multiplayer mode when duking it out online. The Commander Rank is unlocked at level 55 and no other achievement/trophy was provided with a higher rank. This gives us a good indication that level 55 is the multiplayer cap for Black Ops 3 .

Biff! Bap! KaPow!

Biff! Bap! KaPow!

This particular accomplishment is achieved when players kill three enemies in row with a melee combo – providing us further evidence that melee combat is still devastating and difficult to pull off. If only this small token of Activision’s appreciation came with a hilarious announcement of “Biff! Bap! KaPow!” upon successful completion. Happy hacking and slashing, friends!

Can’t Hide

Can’t Hide

The “Can’t Hide” unlockable is intriguing since players can only obtain this one by killing an enemy through a wall or obstruction. This got me all giddy and excited as players will have the ability to do some damage while shooting through objects. Black Ops 1 and 2 only allowed players the ability to shoot through certain objects, most of which didn’t even make sense. This Achievement/Trophy could hint at an increase in destructible environment, which is exciting to say the least. Either that, or the developers ran out of ideas to satisfy the trophy generation. Regardless, I like this one!

For Real This Time

For Real This Time

Finally, a Trophy for the noob gamer in all of us. Obtain “For Real This Time” through earning a Gold Rating within the training simulator found at the beginning of game. 1 out of 48 isn’t bad! For the rest of you, you’ll have no excuse for buzzing right through the training simulator this time.

Gun Game

Gun Game

I’ll be impressed by the first reader that scoops up this bad boy – feel free to boast away on the message board below! In order to unlock the difficult “Gun Game” achievement, players will have to kill 5 enemies with 5 different guns in under 30 seconds. That’s going to take some serious concentration and a knack for field stripping enemies quickly and effectively.

In Their Sleep

In Their Sleep

I’m already picturing the hilariousness that ensues as a result of this one. Unlocking “In Their Sleep” requires players to kill 5 stunned enemies in under 3 seconds. Can anyone say “grenade at your feet?” Either that or you could just mow them down with a heavy weapon – the choice is yours!

Lock, Stock, And Then Some

Lock, Stock, And Then Some

My fellow customization nerds unite! Obtaining the “Lock, Stock, And Then Some” Trophy and Achievement is done through unlocking all attachments for a particular weapon used within the game. You’ll finally have a reason, and a valid excuse, for buying up all the crazy attachments for your favorite weapon of doom. Take that, game sprinters.

Sting Like a Talon

Sting Like a Talon

Get ready to cut down some fools with the Talon aviation vehicle because that’s the only way you’ll obtain the “Striking Like a Talon” Trophy and Achievement. Players will need to kill 20 enemies in a row while flying the same Talon in order to obtain this nifty achievement. When in doubt, mow them out.

Not Out of Gobblegum!

Not Out of Gobblegum!

This next one definitely speaks to my inner weirdo. Scoop up the “Not out of Gobblegum!” achievement in Shadows of Evil by purchasing and chewing every type of GobbleGum within your pack. Now I have no idea what the heck that means outside of players having the ability to chew gum from a vending machine – it’s totally out there but also somewhat intriguing in an odd sense. I guess we’ll have to wait and see what type of weirdness Activision throws at us this time around, strange gum chewing and all.

Silverback In Black

Silverback In Black

Our number 1 spot is taken by the best Achievement and Trophy found within Black Ops 3 – “Silverback In Black.” This glorious award is obtained by hacking the data vault and jumping full force into Dead Ops Arcade 2 . For the new guys and gals to the franchise, Dead Ops Arcade was an 8-bit retro arcade game found deep within the maps of the original Black Ops title. It’s totally worth the find and could provide a few extra hours of nostalgic gameplay – or you could think it sucks and fill the old fella with bullets. Whatever path you choose, Activision will recognize your Sherlock Holmes-esque skills.
