7 Coolest Wizard World Cosplays of 2015

7 Coolest Wizard World Cosplays of 2015

Everyone who puts time into making a costume is a winner, because we know how hard making an outfit is. It’s why most of us look at our bedsheets and wonder if we could get away with going as Kid Icarus or Palutena from Kid Icarus or some random God of War NPC as an event’s deadline approaches. Today, we salute some of the best outfits of 2015. These people are talented and deserve every accolade.

Menchi as Fox McCloud

Proving that you don’t need to be human to be one of the best cosplayers, Susan Kim makes extraordinary costumes for her Shiba Inu, Menchi, based on iconic Nintendo heroes. His Link was great, but there’s no denying he’d fit in perfectly with the rest of the Star Fox crew. He can even do a barrel roll .

Angela Bermudez as Quiet

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain’s Quiet was designed by Hideo Kojima with cosplaying in mind, so of course we have to feature one of the best Quiet cosplayers on the scene. That would be Angela Bermudez, who goes with an accurate costume that’s not only pretty, but shows how Quiet would really look if she was out on missions with Venom Snake all the time.

Baty Alquawen as the Sole Survivor

Fallout 4 may have only just hit the scene, but Baty Alquawen wasted no time in preparing the perfect cosplay for the game. She put together a Vault suit, 3D printed up some accessories, and became the Sole Survivor. It’s futuristic and retro at the same time, and I’m sure a few of you have heroines in the game who look a lot like her.

Inuki Cosplay as Spring Trap

You know a Five Nights at Freddy’s cosplay is good when it triggers post-traumatic stress disorder. Cosplay’s Spring Trap costume does exactly that. It has the perfect balance of detailed and dilapidated that will make you jump out of your skin on the con floor.

Ben Carpenter as a Blood Bag

Ben Carpenter as a Blood Bag

Mad Max might not have been one of the best video games of the year, but it was certainly one of the best movies. And a 20 year old man named Ben Carpenter used the movie to inspire an incredible cosplay in which his standing wheelchair is turned into a war rig to complete his costume as a Blood Bag. Best of all, his costume keeps evolving and getting more detailed!

Gai as William Birkin

Gai as William Birkin

I’m so sorry about this Resident Evil 2 cosplay. Gai’s work here is just too good. Seeing William Birkin like this in the game was bad enough. Knowing that there’s a costume out there that brings him to life. Best of all, or maybe worst, the eye moves. Not the eyes in Birkin’s head, the big eye embedded into his shoulder. Sweet dreams.

Extreme Costumes’ Hulkbuster

Extreme Costumes’ Hulkbuster

Pretty cosplays are great, but you have to stand in awe of something like Extreme Costumes’ Hulkbuster. We’ve covered this behemoth before. It took $60,000 and 1,600 hours to make this 9 and 1/9th foot tall, 83lb, EVA foam, plastic, and polycarbonate costume. It even has 915 LEDs, eye lasers, and sound effects. This is the alpha and omega of costumes.
