Top 7 Games Too Hot for 2015

Top 7 Games Too Hot for 2015

Games can be sexy. I’m not talking about the sweet graphics or daring storylines. There are some titles that get a little racy or show more skin than people are comfortable with. But sometimes, titles get a little too hot to be released. There were seven games that came up in 2015 that were either too alluring to make it past the rating boards without a bit of tweaking, or eventually skipped other regions entirely.

Spoiler alert: it certainly seems like the PlayStation Vita was the go-to system for sexy games this year.

Let’s reminisce!

Fatal Frame 5

Fatal Frame 5

Do you hunt ghosts in your underwear? In the Japanese version of Fatal Frame 5 , people did. They could dress up the heroines in swimsuits or lingerie. This being a Nintendo game, though, the option was removed for the worldwide release. Instead, you could dress them as Samus from Metroid or Zelda from The Legend of Zelda . Which, admittedly, is much cooler.

Xenoblade Chronicles X

Xenoblade Chronicles X

In Xenoblade Chronicles X , players can create custom characters. In the Japanese version, people can choose the bust size of their avatars if they’re females. This option was removed from the worldwide release of the game. I guess Nintendo decided a one-size-fits-all approach was best! The thing is, this move upset everyone, because people know there isn’t one set body type or look for every woman.

Street Fighter V

Street Fighter V

It was the butt slap heard ’round the Internet. R. Mika, Street Fighter V ’s luchador, slaps her butt as part of a taunt in the game. Due to her costume, you can see some exposed areas of her derrière. To help people feel more comfortable and avoid issues,Capcom shifted the camera up during the attack. The company also altered her attack with her tag team partner, Yamato Nadeshiko, so their team attack that squishes people between them isn’t as explicit. But hey, she still looks pretty either way!

Criminal Girls: Invite Only

Criminal Girls: Invite Only

NIS America takes chances. That’s why Criminal Girls: Invite Only was localized for the Vita. It’s a game where you help “rehabilitate” seven convict girls in purgatory by dungeon crawling and occasionally whipping, beating, and shocking them. Yes, S&M made it into a U.S. release. However, there is strategically placed, pink “fog” over certain body parts that helped the game make it past censors. It doesn’t do too much good, since it’s see-through, but sometimes even a small change helps, I suppose.

Dungeon Travelers 2

Dungeon Travelers 2

Dungeon Travelers 2 , Atlus’ Vita JRPG, needed a whole lot of cleaning up. After all, it was based on the To Heart adult visual novel series. It’s racy, to say the least. Four images were too hot to make the cut, so to ensure that it could actually be released outside of Japan, they had to be cut. The things companies do to avoid Adults Only ratings. It’s still plenty hot without those four screenshots, trust me. And it’s a great dungeon crawler, too.

Moe Chronicle

Moe Chronicle

Did you hear about the JRPG sequel to Monster Monpiece , Moe Chronicle ? No? Know why? Because it’s filled with half naked monster girls who can be touched and flirted with in-game. By touching, I mean people had to actually use the PlayStation Vita’s touchscreen to tap that. Compile Heart and Idea Factory didn’t even try to bring it to the PlayStation Vita in other regions, because there would have had to be so much adjusted or removed to make a release possible. But don’t worry. The Asian version offers a full English translation and the handheld is region-free.

Dead or Alive: Xtreme 3

Dead or Alive: Xtreme 3

Dead or Alive: Xtreme 3 is the game that comes up whenever anyone brings up “hot” games from 2015. The game features the women of DOA in swimsuits on vacation. They play volleyball, bump butts, go through obstacle courses, take photos, make friends, and enjoy some rock climbing. All nearly naked, of course. The PlayStation 4 and Vita versions aren’t coming stateside, but the Asian versions do offer full English translations. So even though you can’t get it here, you could still easily import copies of this region-free release.
