Top 7 Hot Spots Grand Theft Auto Should Go Next

We’ve learned Rockstar Games is working on a sixth Grand Theft Auto game . Which makes sense. Grand Theft Auto is one of the world’s best and most popular games. Every installment is beloved, especially Grand Theft Auto V . Of course a new entry is in development.

With Grand Theft Auto 6 , Rockstar has an opportunity. The series has spent a lot of time in and around California as of late. We’ve heard Rockstar considered other locations, like Tokyo, Bogota, and Las Vegas. It’s time to take the series out and about, letting people explore someplace new. Maybe we should even be taken outside of the United States!

Miami

Miami

The last time we saw “Miami” in Grand Theft Auto was in Vice City and Vice City Stories . Both games offered a look at the city in the 1980’s, letting people see what life as an antihero would be like in Florida. One can only imagine how much the city has changed over the years! It’d provide a diverse landscape and unique locations, and we already know from experience that it has enough flavor to be a GTA hot spot.

Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi

Taking the Grand Theft Auto series out of the country would be amazing too. Furious 7 showed us how beautiful Abu Dhabi can be. Given its cultural, commercial, and political presence, it could be a flashy and stylish place for a new game. After all, GTA games often involve heists, and this is one of the most expensive cities in the world. Plus, Rockstar could also take inspiration from Dubai, another major United Arab Emirates city.

London

London

Even though most of the major installments in the Grand Theft Auto series are domestic, the series has been to London before. London, 1961 and London, 1969 mission packs were released for the original Grand Theft Auto PlayStation and PC games. It showed Rockstar wasn’t afraid to head to other countries, and the expansions were a success. It would be great to callback to those early add-ons with a London location in Grand Theft Auto 6 .

Tokyo

Tokyo

Rockstar may have ruled out a Grand Theft Auto: Tokyo years ago, but things change. Society is more worldly now. Maybe little things like road systems and brands wouldn’t keep an entry in the series set overseas from happening. After all, The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift showed a scene that would fit well in the GTA world. It’s a location many gamers would want to visit. Wouldn’t it be great to head to Asia for a game?

Berlin

Berlin

People who love cars know how big Germany’s influence is on the industry. Audi, BMW, Mercedes Benz, Porche, and Volkswagen cars all come from that country. It’s also home to the autobahn, one of the world’s most famous highways. There’s no speed limit in some areas there. Imagine getting a Grand Theft Auto game in a location where all of these incredible cars are made, then being able to race on a replica of a highway that someone could visit in real life. It’d be an incredible experience.

Chicago

Chicago

If Rockstar did want to keep Grand Theft Auto 6 in the United States, why not bring the series to Chicago? I’m not just suggesting this as a Chicago native. It’d work well. There’s a complicated political scene to highlight. It could call to light the violence people experience on the city streets in real life. Plus, people could see replicas of famous Chicago landmarks. Not to mention, it’s rife with diversity. It is one of our biggest cities. Let’s see it in a game.

New York

New York

Grand Theft Auto 6 is as good a time as any to bring us back to New York. Whoops, I mean Liberty City. It was where we all started in the first Grand Theft Auto . We’ve kept coming back to it in Grand Theft Auto III , Advance , Liberty City Stories , and IV . It’s a series staple and, while it’s often used as a location, we haven’t visited it in about 8 years. A lot can happen in that amount of time. It feels like a good time to return.
