Mortal Kombat’s Baddest Female Fighters of All Time

Mortal Kombat’s Baddest Female Fighters of All Time

The mastermind behind the great Mortal Kombat X , Ed Boon, recently asked fans which female character they miss most from the franchise. This got us thinking not only about the best female character we miss from the storied franchise but the best female characters period. Let take a walk down memory lane at the five best women to ever enter the pit of death.

Sonya Blade

Sonya Blade

As much as I wanted to put Sonya Blade at the top of this list, the voice of reason kicked in. Nonetheless, Sonya is a total badass and the true catalyst for women entering the tournament – she was the only female character offered within the original Mortal Kombat . She channels her inner police officer with devastating blows and dual wields. She sexy, tough, and everything we love about the women of Mortal Kombat.

Kitana

Kitana

Kitana has always been one of the most underrated female characters within the series. It probably has something to do with those deadly fans she uses to shred the competition, or it could be that epic army she led into battle. Either way, she’s a stone cold killer in the most elegant way possible, not to mention her combinations are absolutely devastating.

Sheeva

Sheeva

Sheeva, also commonly known as the she-devil, is as much terrifying as she is combat ready The half-human half-dragon has been a force to be reckoned with since she debuted in MK 3 and was nearly impossible to defeat. Those massive arms are capable of delivering deadly blows while her finishing moves have been some of the best ever featured in the franchise.

Jade

Jade

What can I say about Jade that hasn’t been constantly debated over the years since her arrival? Is it the epic green suit, the cocky attitude, the blade transforming staff, or just her daunting presence before any battle that makes her so memorable? I’m going to go with all of the above. Jade has been a real treat since secretly emerging during MK 2 and has only gotten better with time.

Mileena

Mileena

Mileena is an absolute savage, especially with those teeth. She encompasses everything we love about a Mortal Kombat character. She’s agile, strong, and can throw some serious cinderblocks while engaged in hand-to-hand combat. If her dynamic fighting style wasn’t enough, she sports some of the most unique finishing moves we’ve seen out of the series – Rolling Thunder will rock your world. She may be a clone of Kitana, but she certainly holds her own with a style and flare that is entirely unique to her.
