Team Stark vs. Team Cap: Whose Side Are You On?

Team Stark vs. Team Cap: Whose Side Are You On?

The wait is finally over – Captain America: Civil War , and perhaps the end of the world as we know it, is less than one week away. Captain America and Iron Man are set to square off, drawing in just about every Marvel character a superhero fan could possibly ask for. This movie is set to crush the box offices, tie in every Marvel movie from the last half-decade, and be a springboard for the next wave of Marvel flicks. Here are 5 facts you need to know about Captain America: Civil War .

Black Panther Is Finally Here

Black Panther Is Finally Here

Black Panther finally makes his big-screen debut after being snubbed like Charile Murphy at a Rick James after party. Seriously, Black Panther has some awesome skills and sports a rather impressive and very Marvel-like backstory. Be sure to get a good look at Marvel’s next big superhero when Black Panther finally emerges from the stenciled genius of Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.

Spiderman Joins the Family

Spiderman Joins the Family

The world’s greatest superhero is back and he’s certainly chosen the right team, fighting side-by-side with his pal Iron Man. At least, for now, so we think. Regardless of which team Spidey ends up on, it’s nice to see the golden gem of Marvel appear within this massive film. Did we mention Iron Man hooks him up with a custom spider suit? Oh yeah, it’s going down!

So Many Upgrades

So Many Upgrades

That’s right, everyone gets an upgrade in Civil War . It’s not just the main characters Captain America and Iron Man, but every character featured within the film, which is just about the entire Avengers cast, gets some type of weapon or costume upgrade. Keep your eyes peeled for the detail contained within each character’s improvements, it’s said to be pretty awesome.

The Superhero Registration Act

The Superhero Registration Act

The basic premise of the movie and the battle between two top Marvel characters is a result of the Superhero Registration Act, which essentially requires all super-humans to register themselves with the government. The X-Men-type plot comes after a superhero battle leaves several hundred innocent people dead. Iron Man is on board with the government regulation while old man Captain America is firmly against Big Brother’s intrusion.

Captain America and Iron Man Will Duke It Out

Captain America and Iron Man Will Duke It Out

Ok, so this one is certainly implied by the title of the movie. However, two of Marvel’s most storied superheroes, Captain America and Iron Man, going toe-to-toe on the silver screen is absurdly awesome. I thought Batman vs. Superman was insane, which it totally was, but this is sheer madness. Yes, I know the battle has been brewing for several years, but I’m totally stoked that it’s actually going down, and in less than a week. Strap in, my fellow comic book nerds, this is going to be an epic ride.
