10 Reasons Gaming in 2017 Will Be Insane!

10 Reasons Gaming in 2017 Will Be Insane!

Next year is going to be insane. Have you considered some of the games we’re going to be seeing? I mean, there’s South Park: The Fractured But Whole, Ghost Recon: Wildlands, Persona 5, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane, Sonic Mania, Sea of Thieves, Ni no Kuni 2, Yakuza 0, and Gran Turismo Sport . It’s gonna be amazing, and those are only some of the “smaller” titles.

To help you prioritize, we’re going to go over ten of the games you shouldn’t miss next year. These ones really stand out.

Scalebound

Scalebound

Dragons are incredible creatures, yet we haven’t had too many games give us the ability to interact with and make good use of them. Like, Panzer Dragoon , Skyrim , and Drakengard offered interactions with the beasts, but we still don’t get too many opportunities to connect. With Platinum Games’ Scalebound , we get to follow Drew and his dragon, Thuban. We customize and interact with the creature. He’s very much our partner, who we’re able to link with. It’s an RPG we can look forward to on our Xbox Ones!

Halo Wars 2

Halo Wars 2

The Halo series has some interesting lore to it. Fortunately, people aren’t forced to only experience the series through shooters. There’s a fantastic real-time strategy series, and Halo Wars 2 gives us more of that kind of action. You can go through a 13 mission campaign or participate in various multiplayer modes to prove your intelligence, prowess, and strength. Build character with Halo Wars 2 next year!

Injustice 2

Injustice 2

Did you enjoy Injustice ? It was a dark, gritty comic book game with some amazing characters. And Injustice 2 promises to deliver more of that. There’ll be additional characters, like Supergirl, Deadshot, Blue Beetle, and Gorilla Grodd, as well as returning favorites like Batman, Harley Quinn, and Superman. There’ll be a loot system to encourage you to keep playing, in hopes of acquiring extra gear for your favorite characters. It seems like it’ll be a really full and rich fighter!

Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite

Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite

Maybe DC Comics aren’t your thing. That’s okay. Perhaps a romp with Marvel Cinematic Universe characters would help. Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite is coming next year, giving us 2v2 action with familiar Marvel superheroes and Capcom icons. Already Ryu, Mega Man, Morrigan, Captain America, Iron Man, and Captain Marvel have been confirmed. There’ll also be a gem system for various styles. Sounds good to me!

Horizon: Zero Dawn

Horizon: Zero Dawn

The PlayStation 4 doesn’t really have a great Monster Hunter -style game. You know the ones, where you face off against a ginormous opponent and take them down? Horizon: Zero Dawn could be that game. This Guerilla Games title puts us in a world filled with robotic dinosaurs and tasks Aloy, our heroine, with defeating them and finding out the truth behind why they walk the world. It seems super intriguing, with goliath-climbing elements like ones found in Shadow of the Colossus .

Resident Evil VII

Resident Evil VII

It’s been years since Resident Evil was scary, but Resident Evil VII is going to bring the fright back. This first-person adventure sends Ethan Winters, an ordinary man, looking for his missing wife at a derelict mansion. A strange family known as the Bakers owns it, and it certainly seems like he’ll be finding more than his loved one there. This seems like it could be the first killer PlayStation VR game!

Crackdown 3

Crackdown 3

Crackdown is this amazing series. There’s a sense of freedom with the game. You can take down anything and have the power to do extraordinary things. The only thing you can’t do is speed up the release date for Crackdown 3 for the Xbox One. Fortunately, this open-world game with all sorts of destruction finally has a release window. It’ll definitely be out in 2017, either during the holiday season or earlier, and we just can’t wait.

Mass Effect: Andromeda

Mass Effect: Andromeda

Mass Effect: Andromeda is going to send us off into a new world. As Ryder, a human Pathfinder, you’re tasked with discovering a new Earth for humankind. You’re joined on this quest by members from other Mass Effect races, like an Asari, Krogan, and Turian, and must explore planets, interact with their native and non-native residents, and solve missions that will bring you closer to finding a new home. This is the start of an all new Mass Effect story, and you don’t want to miss it.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild kept getting delayed. But finally, in 2017, it’ll be here. For the first time, we’re going to get an open-world The Legend of Zelda game with survival elements. It’s a huge, extravagant place. It also has the distinction of possibly being the last AAA Wii U game and one of the first Switch titles. You can’t miss this game!

Red Dead Redemption 2

Red Dead Redemption 2

Rockstar is known for these immersive games that age so well. Years after Bully , Grand Theft Auto , and Midnight Club installments are released, they’re still actively played and loved. But no game has been so in-demand as of late as a new Red Dead title. In 2017, we’re finally getting Red Dead Redemption 2 . Details are still scant, beyond the knowledge it’ll be here in time for the next holiday season, but we have heard talk of an online element similar to Grand Theft Auto V ‘s GTA Online . If there’s one game to have on your 2017 wishlist, this is it.
