Top 5 Epic Pieces of Gaming Booty

Top 5 Epic Pieces of Gaming Booty

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is a fantastic game from top to bottom. It has everything that identifies a perfect game, from a great storyline to an epic open world. Perhaps the most intriguing aspect of Nintendo’s latest effort is the epic loot scattered throughout the game. It’s like we’re a gang of pirates, scouring the open ocean in search of treasure.

In fact, it’s inspired us to sail the internet seas in search of gaming’s most epic loot ever. Climb aboard, mates!

SUROS Regime (Destiny)

SUROS Regime (Destiny)

Right around the time Destiny launched in late 2014, the SUROS Regime rifle was the pinnacle of awesomeness. It was sleek, rare, ultra quick and had deadly accuracy. It was by far the best rifle I’ve ever used in a video game. It was something of a myth when the game dropped, as only a few players managed to get this bad boy. I happened to stumble upon this glorious piece only a month or two into playing. Nothing beat the feeling of unearthing this legend at the time.

White Death/Lyunda (Boarderlands 2)

White Death/Lyunda (Boarderlands 2)

The Lyunda in Borderlands 2 was originally called White Death, before an update patch changed the title of this wonderful weapon. Easily one of the best sniper rifles ever assembled, Lyunda dealt high damage, had a big magazine, and could be shot either single round or 3 round burst with each trailing bullet doing additional damage. Total destruction was doled out after we came across this gem.

Shadowmourne (World of Warcraft)

Shadowmourne (World of Warcraft)

Talk about an epic piece of loot. The Shadowmourne absolutely wrecked the house when it first burst onto the World of Warcraft scene a few years back. The axe initially delivered the most damage at Level 80 and made just about everyone wet their pants in sheer terror. Despite needing to engage in a 25-person raid across several quests to obtain it, the glory of wielding it was well worth it.

Aether Walker (Diablo III)

Aether Walker (Diablo III)

The legendary wand, Aether Walker, is one of Diablo III ’s more impressive pieces of loot. The wand grants nearly unlimited teleportation ability for your wizard, which is insane if you think of the overall gameplay possibilities. This piece greatly improved not only the gameplay of the wizard character, but made it easy to grind out loot for a justifiable cause.

Splattercannon (Fallout 4)

Splattercannon (Fallout 4)

Easily one of my more favorite weapons, the Splattercannon is an awesome piece of handmade, purchasable loot. Consecutive hits deliver increased damage. Sadly, this bad boy doesn’t come cheap, as Aaron Corbett will charge you up to 10,000 caps in order to bust a cap in Fallout 4 . On the flip side, the Splattercannon will come at a discount for those with increased Charisma levels.
