Top 5 Sony Rumors We Hope Are True

Top 5 Sony Rumors We Hope Are True

Sony PlayStation Europe has been teasing something new on their Twitter feed for the past few days. There are unconfirmed reports that Sony is launching a new system to coincide with the release of Gran Turismo Sport . No matter what they announce, we thought this would be the perfect time to put together a list of the top five things we’d love for Sony to bring us. Some of these are already floating around the rumor mill, others are 100% CheatCC originals. So let’s take a look!

Complete Backwards Compatibility

Complete Backwards Compatibility

If you’ve been a Sony guy since the days of Twisted Metal , then you probably have a decent number of original PlayStation or even PlayStation 2 games lying around. It’s time we put those classics back to use. Just imagine if Sony allowed full backwards compatibility, regardless of which console version of a game you have. That would be the day.

Cross-Console Multiplayer

Cross-Console Multiplayer

This has always been a wish of mine since the early days of the original Xbox. Cross-console multiplayer would be something truly special. Having the ability to play games with anyone across any system from, PlayStation to Xbox, PC, and even Mac, would be a dream for many games. Microsoft and the Nintendo Switch are working together. Let’s make it happen for the PlayStation 4 too!

Game Gifts, Sales, and Loans

Game Gifts, Sales, and Loans

No, I’m not talking about gifts, sales, or loans of hard copies. I’m talking about the ability to transfer your digital content to another party. I’d love to clear my hard drive of old games I’ve reviewed to, you know, spread the wealth to my digital homies. This is something Sony needs to ease up on, while simultaneously removing the negative stigma attached to digital content.

Easily Transfer Your PSN ID

Easily Transfer Your PSN ID

I love playing games online, but I also love playing them with real people, in person, that I can see and touch. However, it’s like pulling teeth transferring my PSN ID to my buddy’s console in the city. It’s like we were transferring large sums of cash with the requirements. Sony needs to simplify this process significantly.

World of Warcraft on the Playstation

World of Warcraft on the Playstation

This might be a big stretch, but putting arguably the biggest non-console game on the PlayStation 4 would be fantastic. All I hear my barber talk about these days in how fantastic World of Warcraft is and why myself and the entire shop should drop a few stacks on a PC setup and follow him in. I’d love to take him up on the offer, but I’m a console guy and always will be. Unite us, Blizzard!
