This guy has all the makings of a great, and very dark comic-book movie. Think in the style of Pan’s Labyrinth–that gritty, grainy style of film. Or even the same film style of Sweeney Todd, but without Tim Burton. Solomon Grundy is one of those characters who has really just been used as a whippin’ boy for various super heroes in the in the pantheon of DC Comics. But what if we were told his story…the whole story? What if we finally found out how he became the grotesque monster that we see now? What was he like before his transformation? Was there a single vent that brought him to his wretched state? If you know the answers to these questions, great. If you don’t…look them up. I’m telling you it could be a cool film.
