Top 10 E3 2015 Fantasies

Top 10 E3 2015 Fantasies

We have been over the things we are excited to see at E3 2015. We have been over the things we are depressed won’t be at E3 2015. Now it’s time to go off into fantasy land and create our fantasy E3 announcement lineup. There is next to no chance that any of these things will happen this year, but in a perfect world, this is the news we would be hearing about.

Super Mario RPG 2 Finally Being Made

Super Mario RPG 2 Finally Being Made

After hearing fans cry out for a direct sequel to Super Mario RPG for years, Nintendo has finally decided to give the fans what they want. Teaming up with Square-Enix, Nintendo is bringing back Geno, Mallow, and the crew to team up with Mario on yet another quest to save the Mario universe. The game has updated graphics and runs on something similar to the Super Mario 3D world engine on the overworld, however contacting an enemy would send you into battle with a party of multiple heroes just as it did in the SNES version. Luigi would join the party this time around, as would Daisy, Rosalina, Bowser Jr., Wario, and Waluigi.

Battletoads Actually Comes to Next-Gen Systems

Battletoads Actually Comes to Next-Gen Systems

After the successful Battletoads content show off in Shovel Knight, Rare realizes that they have a hit classic IP on their hands. They announce that a brand new Battletoads will be created as an indie game on the Xbox One marketplace. This new Battletoads will have sprite graphics, but updated beat em up gameplay, and since it will be the only beat em up on the market it’s sure to make millions.

Call of Duty and Battlefield Team Up

Call of Duty and Battlefield Team Up

Noticing that fighting games, RPGs, and even Nintendo has done the crossover thing a million times in the past, the two shooter giants of Call of Duty and Battlefield team up to deliver a massive FPS experience. Matches would be 64 on 64, taking place on huge maps. Killstreaks and perks could change the entire layout of the map via destructible terrain. Heck, for good measure, throw in dogs and jetpacks! Make this the fantasy shooter we all wanted for ages.

Capcom Announces a New Mega Man X

Capcom Announces a New Mega Man X

The blue bomber returns, and not as a retro game, remake, fan game, or compilation. Instead, Capcom finally announces Mega Man X9, the continuation of the much loved Mega Man X series. The game would be 2.5D, i.e. 2D gameplay but 3D models. You would get to play as X, Zero, and Axl, and each would have their own armor pieces to collect. Armors would be able to be mixed and matched, as they were in previous games, and ultimate armors would be hidden in the Sigma stages. There would even be puzzle elements, as you would need to say, use Zero’s double jump to get one of X’s armor pieces.

Kojima Announces Zone of the Enders 3

Kojima Announces Zone of the Enders 3

Now that Kojima is free of Konami, he is finally able to focus on what he always wanted to make: Zone of the Enders. With the power granted to him from next-generation technology, flying around in a giant robot, destroying everything around you, has never been more fun or pretty. He even includes a VR mode to allow you to experience giant robot fighting in a first person perspective! He would probably have to give it a different name, but no one would care.

Guillermo Del Toro Kickstarts His Own VR Horror Game

Guillermo Del Toro Kickstarts His Own VR Horror Game

Speaking of VR and bad mistakes made by Konami, Guillermo Del Toro decides to take all the work he did on Silent Hills and give Konami a giant middle finger. Instead, he turns to Kickstarter in order to fund his own horror game, showing off the proof of concept on the E3 show floor. He too would need to change the name, but he brings Norman Reedus along with him, so fans don’t care. After a fantastic showing on the E3 show floor, the Kickstarter easily makes 5 million dollars.

Mother 3 Actually Coming to America

Mother 3 Actually Coming to America

After Earthbound saw such a fantastic success on the Wii U virtual console, and now that Nintendo is allowing GBA games to be put on Virtual console, Nintendo finally puts 2 and 2 together and brings Mother 3 to the states. Even better, they use the fan translation patch that is already done and just pitch the fans some of the profits. Everyone ends up happy and Nintendo makes a bajillion dollars on one of the best RPGs of all time.

All Fighting Franchises Say “Screw It” And Team Up

All Fighting Franchises Say “Screw It” And Team Up

Fighting game team ups are kind of like the six degrees of Kevin Bacon at this point. If you follow enough links, you can eventually get back to Capcom. Like, watch. Capcom has crossed over with SNK, Sega, Bandai Namco, Marvel, Shonen Jump, Sengoku Basara, and Tatsunoko. Sega, who makes Virtua Fighter, published Guilty Gear Xrd which was made by Arc System Works who did games such as BlazBlue, Persona 4 Arena, and Hokuto No Ken, and published games like Under Night: in-Birth, which has guest characters from Akatsuki Blitzkampf and Melty Blood, and has a guest character in the background in Skullgirls. Bandai Namco, aside from having their own fighting games like Tekken and Soul Calibur, had an entrant in PlayStaiton All-Stars Battle Royale with Heihachi, which would link Capcom up to that universe (or they could go directly through Dante.) Sega also published some old DC universe games in the 90’s, and the DC universe fighting game is currently made by Netherrealm, which makes Mortal Kombat. Finally, Ryu is rumored to appear in smash Bros. so that gets Nintendo in on the deal, and Iron Galaxy, who are currently doing Killer Instinct, did the remakes of classic Capcom games like Street Fighter III: Third Strike. Before Realizing that they are all connected, everyone decides to screw licenses and create one gigantic fighting game brawl.

Square Announces a Chrono Trigger Sequel

Square Announces a Chrono Trigger Sequel

I don’t really have to tell you why this is awesome, right? I mean, Chrono Trigger is widely considered to be one of the best video games of all time, yet Square-Enix never seems to want to continue the story. They have this goldmine of an IP just waiting for them, and instead they are making whatever the heck Final Fantasy XV is supposed to be. I hate to say it, but the next Chrono Trigger probably doesn’t evenm have to be good to make money. It just has to exist, and it would be the perfect announcement at this or any E3

Sony and Microsoft Announce Cross Console Play

Sony and Microsoft Announce Cross Console Play

Finally, the biggest announcement that could ever be made at E3, is that Sony and Microsoft are finally lowering the barriers of competition and allowing cross console play. From now on, games would simply be games. Call of Duty on the PlayStation 4 would be able to play with both PC users and Xbox users. Game systems would be purchased for exclusives and exclusives only. The world of gaming gets a little bit closer to each other and we all are a little bit happier.
